Blindern and Ullevål are green and peaceful areas. From here it is a short distance to the Sognsvann lake and Nordmarka, which have good hiking opportunities both summer and winter. There are also good bike paths in the area. The sunday walk is best spent along the streets in pleasant Ullevål Hageby or among charming colonial cabins in Sogn Hagekoloni.

At Ullevål Stadium you will find a good selection of shops, such as clothing stores, pharmacy, bookstore, liquor store and more. With the subway, you can get to Majorstua within a few minutes. Here you will find different shops and nice eateries. These areas have a good connection to public transport, day and night.

In this area you will find Oslo's largest fitness club, Athletica Domus, which offers a wide range of training options, including a multipurpose hall, artificial turf court, tennis courts and squash. At UiO campus you find Athletica Blindern. In this area you have close proximity to Nordmarka, bike paths and countless green areas, and lots of opprotunities for exercising outdoors.
