Here you live by yourself in your own apartment.

The housing comes with a closet, but is otherwise unfurnished.

The housing has a simple kitchen. The design and size may vary between units.

You need to get provide your own kitchen equipment, such as pots, plates and cutlery.

The housing comes with a stove and refrigerator. A dishwasher is not included, and it is not possible to install one either.

You have your own bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet.

It is not possible to install your own washing machine in your residence.

A storage unit is not included.

Important information about the floors in Building D

Building D in Nydalen Student Village has a total of 11 floors. The housing units in this building are located on levels U3, U2, U1, and 1 to 7 floor. The entrance is on level U4, which is the lowest floor.

All housing units in Building D with addresses starting with U are above ground level, with regular windows and natural daylight.

Some of the units face the surrounding area, while others are located on the back side of the building, where there is more shade and exposed rock.

Important information about the floors in Building E

Building E in Nydalen Student Village has a total of 13 floors. The housing units are located on levels U4, U3, U2, U1, and 1st to 9th floor. The entrance is on level U4, which is the lowest floor.

All housing units in Building E with addresses starting with U are above ground level, with regular windows and natural daylight, unless otherwise specified.

Some of the units face the surrounding area, while others are located on the back side of the building, where there is more shade and exposed rock.

We are building 450 new student housing units in Nydalen Student Village

Autumn 2025 we will complete the interior construction works in the new buildings. Examples of construction works that will create noise are cutting materials and drilling in concrete.

We will also do work on the outdoor areas, and there will be noise from excavators at times.

Working hours and noise

The project will cause noise and dust. There may be occasional reduced access in some places.

Working hours are Monday – Friday between 07:00 – 19:00.

Oslo Municipality is installing new public water and sewage pipes in Korsvollbakken and Maridalsveien. At the same time, they will be constructing new manholes.

The work will begin in at the end of March 2025 and is expected to be completed by July 2026.

There may be short periods of water outages during the works. These will normally last less than 6 hours and should be notified in advance.

The work will cause inconveniences such as reduced accessibility, construction traffic, noise, vibrations, dust, possible odours, and temporary brown water from the taps. Blasting work will be carried out in certain areas along the route.

The degree of wear and tear will vary from unit to unit. This means that the standard may be worse or better than the housing in the pictures.

The price of the different units of this housing type may vary. The variation can be due to factors such as size, floor, standard, timing of pricing, and more. You will be given an exact rent price when you receive a housing offer.

The rent includes electricity/energy, heating, internet, stairwell cleaning, water, and hot water.

Tenants must provide their own router or network cable to connect to the internet.

Please note that the price is adjusted on August 1st each year.

The stated price applies to students who meet the criteria in our Allocation regulations. For other tenants, there will be an additional 20% added to the rent.

When renting student housing through SiO, the Tenancy Act §11-2 on student housing applies. This means you have fewer rights as a tenant, compared to renting other types of housing.

The student village has a nice location in a central area close to Nydalen and Storo. Here you have walking distance to BI and Storo Storsenter, and hiking opportunities along the idyllic Akerselva.
