In the middle of Grünerløkka we will open more than 200 student housings in October 2024. Here you will live next to the Club Blå and can join some of the many events that take place there. You can apply now if you wish and it is "first come, first served".

Works on the 1st floor

Work on the 1st floor In the first months after the student accommodation is opened, work will take place on the premises on the 1st floor. The work may cause noise.
Car parking

There is regular street parking in the area, but if you are mobility impaired, there are 2 parking spaces for rent. Read more about the scheme and how to get a parking space here.
Elevator

There is an elevator connected to each entrance.
Public transport

From Vulkan, it is a short distance to buses and trams that take you to the center of Oslo in a few of minutes.
Neighbourhood

Vulkan Student House is located right in the heart of the action, perfect for those who enjoy being in the midst of everything. Right next to the student house, you'll find Blå, hosting events year-round. Enjoy the summer sun at Nedre Foss Park, just across the street. At the area Vulkan, you'll find everything from exciting culinary experiences at Mathallen to concerts at Vulkan Arena. Not to mention, you'll also find SiO's own gym, Athletica Vulkan!
Storage unit

All residences have a storage unit in the flat.
Bike parking

On the ground floor, you will find bicycle parking.
Waste

At Vulkan, you throw the waste in a waste box on the square facing the street.

Laundry

The student house's laundry is located on the ground floor. Read more about how to use the laundry here.
Roof terraces and outdoor areas

Each staircase has its own roof terrace that everyone in the staircase can use. Here you have a fantastic view of Oslo. Just remember that grilling or smoking are not allowed here.
Outside the building, there are outdoor areas facing Akerselva.
