Reportage from St. Hanshaugen Student Village

This is how it is at St. Hanshaugen Student Village

  • Construction Projects in the Student Village

We will upgrade all kitchens shared by two tenants in the student village from June 1 to September 11, 2026.

According to the plan, work will begin in building 1 from June 1 and in building 3 from June 22. We will start at the top of the buildings and work our way down. The work will cause noise. During the renovation, we will among other things replace the flooring, lighting, kitchen fittings and install a new dishwasher.

    Site cabins and containers

We will place temporary site cabins on the grass area in the backyard, which will be fenced off for the entire project period. We will also place a small container outside building 1 and a waste container outside the waste room by building 3. These are for the construction project only.

    Working hours and noise

Working hours are Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00. The renovation will take about one working week per kitchen. You may be particularly affected by noise while work is taking place near your unit. There may also be noise while work is ongoing in the rest of the student village.
