Construction work near Schultz’ gate Student House
Noisy construction work is ongoing as part of the renovation of Åsaveien 2. The project is expected to be completed in June 2026.
At the same time, there will be excavation work to install district heating in Industrigata and Åsaveien.
The working hours are between 07:00-19:00 on weekdays. In special cases, they may have to work on Saturdays between 09:00-18:00.
The work will cause noise and dust, and there will be construction traffic in Åsaveien this period.
Storage
The student house does not have private storage units, but common storage rooms in the attic which is shared by several residents.
Common rooms
The student house has several common rooms that you can use. There is a living room, balcony, fitness room and study room.
How to apply for housing at Schultz's gate

At Studenterhuset Schultz’ gate, the tenants’ association takes part in selecting who is offered housing. Your application letter will be forwarded by SiO to the tenants’ association without any personal data. If you wish to contact the tenants’ association directly, you can do so at this email address: stuhus@gmail.com.
You will first be assigned a double room, which you will share with another tenant. Allocation of single rooms is based on seniority.
Life in Schultz' gate
This is a type of housing where you live close with the other residents in the building, with a common kitchen and common bathroom. It is suited for those who want to contribute to the community.
The tenants in Schultz’ gate have their own tenants’ association with long-standing traditions that you can join if you move into Schultz’ gate. Public transport
It only a 7 minute's walk to Bislett and 5 minutes to Bogstadveien, where city trams have frequent departures. No matter where you might find yourself in Oslo, there is always a connection to Majorstuen station which is located 10 minutes from the student house. From here there are subway, tram and bus lines to most nooks and crannies of the city.

Bicycles are parked in the bike room located in the basement.
